A few of years ago a group of loud but peaceful protestors were maced in front of the TV cameras in British Columbia during some trade conference with Chinese officials. The cop looked like the middle aged stereotype and was all wound up and caught up in the excitement. And he hosed down the crowd with a seltzer bottle sized mace unit. He did get a minor reprimand for being over zealous. If he had got a snout full himself I'm certain he would not have been so keen to hospitalize those who had family in Chinese prisons for being a Christian etc. The Prime Minister was asked about the incident and he said he put pepper on his eggs all the time. He was the same prime Minister who grabbed and choked down a protestor in full view of the cameras.
