I don't know there my last post went to but I will wait awhile to re-post in case it is hung up somewhere. Anyway, I have done six military restorations on ww 2 era vehicles and the real guts of the engines have been the same as civilian. What is sometimes different is the carbs and ignition. Waterproof ingition and crankcase ventilation (where so you think your modern pcv valve came from on your car?) didn't come around until Korea.
