I ran my "96 Dodge with Cummins Diesel on pure used cooking oil last summer. I wouldn"t try it if temperature is below 50 degrees F. Kept a spare filter on hand just in case....didn"t need it. I think the Fordson Major would probably handle it OK, I assume it has the Simms inline pump. One website I saw listed suitability of different injector pumps. Most of the inline type pumps were OK, but a lot of the "distributor" types were not. I had no trouble starting (it occasionally took just a hair more cranking to start..three or four revolutions of the crankshaft instead of the usual one) and no noticable loss of power. There was definitely less objectionable odor, unless you count the "County Fair" smell as undesirable.
