On the injection pumps, gear pumps have been used as Charge Pumps to fill the injection pump. Probably no pressures higher than 60 psi. You have no means of metering the fuel also timing the fuel and you can not develop the pressure necessary for todays engines. They can also be used on closed center hydraulic systems, but you must have an unloader valve to unload the pressure. Do you have the formula that allows you to calculate the displacement of these pumps?
