Hi.My 1969 434 international diesle,is very hard to get into gear(any gear),at first startup.I have to "force"it into gear, with a grinding noise,,and after that i can work it all day with smooth shifting.Shut it down,,and then wait a bit,and start her up,,same thing,,cant get her ito gear.I tryed this with the clutch halfway down, and all the way down,,,,still no differance. The hi-low wont engage, till after you are using it a bit, then it will work smoothly.Someone here told me that it was the "pilot bearing"..and that there was an insprection plate that i could get to the adjustment, and see the throwout bearing.Where is this inspection plate located? As i say,,the tractor shifts hard,,when first start..then after i force into gear,it will work smooth as silk ,,till the next time i start her up.Can i adjust the clutch?..Would that help?.Is there "quick" fix,for now, till warmer weather sets in and i can tear her down?.......Thanks..GW
