Chains are great on a skid steer, for using in the field and in the mud. They are about the last possible thing you want to use on any hard surface esp concrete. To start with, they will absolutely beat you to death (even on gravel). They are really hard on pavement. Mine runs mostly on earth so tires arent a real high wear item. On pavement, just expect a set every 700 hrs or so.
