On the valves and valve guides. Do you have dimensions for the stems in thousands? Do you have either an I & T or Hercules manual? I do not think you are going to find a knurler for 1/4 inch guides to be real common. I will need to look at what the O. D. of the guides is. How good are the intake valves. Also remember you can run an L-head engine with more stem to guide clearance than an overhead valve engine. Questions? I may have answers.
