Some thoughts for you on tractor selection:
1) Must haves - 3 pt. hitch, power steering, wide front, live pto, at least 1 remote hydraulic outlet.
2) Don't necessarily shy away from a gas unit. You don't turn that much ground. Easier to work on, cheaper to buy, and better cold weather starting.
3) Try to get a package. I've seen some in Michigan where the implements are darn near free if you buy the whole package. Good Luck
