I use a light wire cup brush and a porting brush on a small drill motor. You need to be carful useing one of those plastic scruber drill disks they can take off metal and cause you to have to deck the head or block for a good seal. Purple Castrol Cleaner is a great parts cleaner to remove junk and a pressure washer to blast it off. Be sure to WD 40 every thing afterwords for moisture reasons or heat the block and oil it down again. Mark H.
