Some people might think its cruel, but if you have a pest dog that you want to get rid of without killing it, this will work. Take the bb's out of a shotgun shell, preferably a .410 or 20ga and fill it up with rock salt. Table salt works the same but does not go very far out of the barrel. One shot of this in the dogs butt will send him yelping and he will never return to where he remembers getting his butt on fire. This also works on pigs, goats, etc.
