Is is a Norwegian slang saying kinda like "Forget About It" is to the Italians and is just an explanation type phrase that can mean just about anything you want. Uff-da, its hot! Uff-da, Lookie that woman!, Uff-da, I’m hungry. etc., etc., etc.
