Farmall Cub Ammeter

I bought a new ammmeter and just went to put it in my Farmall cub. It is 6V pos. grd. The old one has 2 terminals. The new one has 3, namely I, S and G what would I hook the G to or should I get a different one. The dealer said this was the right one. The pos. grd baffles me. Someone may be able to help me. Thanks
