Good Shop Vac will do the job fairly well but not for long.Vacs are not really built to run for extended periods and their standard filters can pass abrasive dust, however extra fine filters are available for some models.Properly one should use a dust collector made for the job.Just plug the hose into a snug hole in the cabinet...matching size vent hole will be needed to allow makeup air in and create crossflow.
