I priced FarmTrac (long), ACGO, JD, NH and a few off brands in the 65hp models. Had I went new I would have gone JD first with FarmTrac as a backup choice. Both were right at 18,000. FarmTrac had a few extra options (shuttle trans), but seem to loose value faster. JD was so-so on options but appeared to be soild and held value well. Massey and NH seem to be engineered to just meet average use. I was concerned that they might not hold up to heavy use. Both were just a tad more than the first two price wise. The two off brands that come to mind were Tafe and Mahaindra (sp) couple thousand cheaper & loaded, but parts, support, and lots-o-plastic, were a concern. I'd give the JD some extra thought. Fairly competive price wise in the 65 hp range, has solid rep for holding value. Seriously doubt you'd have a parts issues, for a few years anyway. Ended up going to a bigger tractor, 85hp, and bought used. Paid for vs 7 years of payments and will do anything I need to do "easily".
