A pair of brothers stopped one day, and asked me if i had 2 good running lawn mowers that i would like to trade for the machinery they had in the barn! I had never met them before that day, so i suggested i go to see what they had in mind! When they opened the barn door, there was an old Troy-bilt tiller in one corner, a Snapper hi-vac riding mower, and 2 really worn out push mowers! They were so worn, the wheels were splayed out past 45d! The bros. said the machinery was what they wanted to trade! Well, i tried to convince them to just take the mowers and give me $50, but they said no, it all goes! A deals a deal, they said, and the home was sold to a developer who was going to build new homes on the farm! I offered them money, but to no avail! So, i took 2 of my best mowers to their house, loaded up the machinery, and went home! Turned out, the Snapper just needed cleaned up, and some maintenance done on it, but the Troy-bilt had a broken connecting rod in it! I repaired it and sold it 3 summers ago. Its still running good, and the Snapper, too. so, ya never know when fortune is going to smile on ya! by: Rustyj

After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet). I did keep everything I replaced for the day I do want to restore her to showroom condition.
