We had better ban motor vehicles, bicycles, little league baseball, all racket sports and privately owned swimming pools. We need to ban mountain climbing and skiing of all types while we are at it. A total ban on alcohol and tobacco would be the First and Foremost priority for the public good. The news media has a couple of favourites, aircraft crashes and firearm incidents. Doesn't matter how rare something happens per capita, per miles traveled or how far away it occurred. It's dramatically and loudly shoved into our faces as the #1 public menace. As for suicides, the Swedes and Japanese have no problem being the worlds highest statistics yet firearms are virtually banned in those countries.
