The post tension slabs I've worked on were for commercial buildings that were open under the slabs--fewer support columns-more open area. Even those had a lot of re-rod in them, so I'm not sure how it can be "versus". Is the slab poured in place, as a high rise building would be? If it isn't open underneath, I see no point in the added expense (cables)and labor (post tension hydraulics) necessary to do this. ChrisH(IA) (formerly from El Reno)
