I understand you have a I-404 and not a Farmall 404;serial # range from 501 in 1961 to 11032 in 1968, the serial # is on the right side of clutch housing. The Farmall 404 was tested at Nebraska in may-june 1962, test # 818; gas engine 135 CID and the bare weight was 4115 pounds. The pto HP was 36.7 @ 2000 engine rpm. This is an updated version of the iH/Farmall 340, so I guess it was manufactured in USA. Regards, Rlach
