Allan, Let me ease your tired mind a bit...We aren't GETTING old, we've done GOT there. Too many new ideas that just don't make sense. Old "tried and true" ones written off as "no good". Thing is, there's 100 different ways to do this stuff with-in my home county...I'm happy with the fact that we get to no-till EVERYTHING here now. And guess what??? A "NEW CONCEPT" is sweeping the area. Soybeans in 20" or 30" rows.... I remember when we first started solid stand drilling about 15 years ago. My dad told me that was the way they did it "way back when". Then the rage was planting them with the corn planter. That lasted YEARS. Then the drill... Now everyone is talking like planting 'em in rows is something all new and revolutionary... Maybe if we live long enough, moldboard plows will be all the rage again. (Actually, they are making a limited comback) Oh well....
