Farmall M

I am looking to get rid of a Farmall M. When my uncle purchased it (about 10 years ago) he was told it was a Farmall Super M. I checked the frame's serial# (on the left side of the tranny case) and it was 8002 DD. When I looked that number up on the internet it said it was a 1940 Farmall M (not a Super M). I need to know which is true before I try to sell it. Also, how should I go about selling it - are there any sites that are better than others for this sort of thing?
