I don"t think it"s gonna be that simple. You proposing going from an obd I sys to an obd II system. There are more sensors involved. You won"t be pulling wires out you"ll be adding them, and several to boot. The newer computer will want to see O2 sensors behind and infront of the Convertor. There is also the matter of the diagnostic plug that usually goes near the steering column, for new system to work it will have to be the obd II plug. The new computer will also want to see the evaporative emission systems components. The newer computer will be alot more picky, if you do get it to run, you will be seeing a check engine light almost definately. Also, That old engine had two injectors as a throttle body setup. The new one has eight. How did you wire this up, or are you using the entire wiring harness and computer from the newer truck and are just trying to find the ignition voltage from the key to power everything up? I am by no means saying it can"t be done, just wondering how hard it is. Which year diagram do you need? Or do you need both. I have never seen anyone do a swap such as this one. I am very interested to see how it works. Good luck, Chris.
