And I never said anything against the Yanmars, sounds like you've had good luck. I farm with Mannheim-built Deeres and think they're the best JD's ever built. However, I had interesting experiences with Zetor and Universal(Romanian Fiat!). I've seen a whole shipment of Zetors come off the boat with contaminated oil. I've seen how spare parts are sourced by Universal dealers, they cannibalize new tractors in the yard because parts are hard to find.My neighbor has a Zetor. It turns like a tank, if you can start it.Winter forget it. Fuel pumps? You've heard of ISO 9000, well welcome to ISO 9. Everything is machined with excessive clearances. This might be beneficial in Siberia, but in North America it means hard starting, lots of smoke and oil consumption. I figure why put yourself trough the aggrevation? Buy a real Deere or a Yanmar in your case, and get it over with. I appologize if I have offended anyone.
