The 2.5 liter he refers to is indeed a V-6. It is of Mitsubishi design and is in a Chrysler Sebring, more than likely. I have seen some of these with lifter noise at times. I have also seen an accumlation of debris in the oil pan that blocks the pickup tube. I have seen these engines get by on very little oil pressure. I've never owned one, but I always suspect the debris since I have seen it and didn't really have a reason for it being there. I got the old "Of course, I change my oil whenever I'm supposed to" bit from the owner. Probably need more description on this noise. Chris Vangel.
