Using Swather = cheaper?

Reading up on what everyone else uses for haying it sounds like things are a bit different out here in dry West Texas.

The guy I talked to uses a swather and cuts one day and bales the next. Sounds like a bit less uncertainty and stress than folks who are having to worry about moisture so much. Not sure if that affects the price or not.
