It has to be a lot of work in splitting the tractor to get the clutch out and it probably needs more than you have observed. I would have it rebuilt by a clutch repair shop and get a job that will be right. I don't know where you are at but I had my cockshutt clutch rebuilt in Grand Rapids, Mi. by Teds Clutch and Axle. He does it as a sideline but I got a good job. He has a web page. Good luck and enjoy a great spring. Jerry
