Paul, Get a "disposable" email address, such as Hotmail, and post it freely, as needed, for use on these boards, or in connection with any items you have for sale. Do not give out your real email address except to trusted friends and relatives and legitimate businesses. When the "disposable" email account becomes overwhelmed with junk, just abandon it, and make up a new account. Your primary email for close associates will not be compromised that way, and you won't have to bring those you are close to "up to speed" on a new email addy from time to time. What ticks me off, though, is close friends, etc., that have my main email address and forward it freely to THEIR circle of friends, with the usual "garbage" email "funnies", in the "CC" header of the email. On the rare occasion I forward some joke, or whatever, that I enjoy, I "cut and paste" the contents of the email into my new email, thereby stripping off the emails of all those who were listed in the original "forward", so I am not a party to spreading their email addys all over the net.
