Any more, a lot of these companies are just like shoes, you pay for the name. Sure, a lot of basketball players where nikes, but there are other companies out there that make just as good, if not better shoes for less. We used to use all stihl weedeaters and chain saws, but when the time came to buy some new stuff for our farm, we have switched to echo. The parts are easy for us to get, not that they need many that often. We have an echo chainsaw, and I don't recall it going into the shop yet after around 5 years of farm work, including 2 ice storms. They are much less than stihl and husq., but are just as durable if not more. Our chainsaw has been dropped countless times, left in the back of a truck in the rain once that I know of, and was in about 2 inches of water, but the next day, she purred like a kitten. They are easy to start and idle well. They are light, and easy to handle. In my opinion, go with an echo. The best price for one will probably be at Home Depot, who started to carry echos not long ago, and then for parts, find a small engine place, although it can be cheaper to buy the saw fromt hte small engine place some time. Good luck. Hurst
