Don't assume that because you had the carb. rebuilt that that is not where the trouble is.
Check: float level
proper gasket between carb top and bottom
vacuum leak between carb and manifold
needle valve adjustment- dirt in fine holes in carb.
fuel filter - strainer - line
manifold gaskets
