No offense in my comments, but in my opinion your friend has first a money handling problem and then second, a problem with the scam artist. Anyone who has to borrow $2500 from his wife's parents to buy a snowmobile hasn't got his financial priorities straightened out yet. I'm not suprised that he got taken.
