Howdy Jeff,

Just gonna add to what Brian in Ohio said. I too belong to the club in Georgetown and go down every year. It's a great show but has shown a bit of a downturn in the last few years. I did some research back to when I was younger and the club had some really great shows. Back in 1995 they hosted the national meet for Rumley tractors and had some tractors (saw pics on a website) that I had never seen before. Back in '98 the national ford meet was there. In recent years the featured tractor section looks like a ghost town. We had allis chalmers a couple years back and there were under 30 tractors there. That's sad. Now, don't get me wrong, I love the club and the show. In fact, it's the only show I go to and have taken my tractor(s) there every year since becoming a member in 99. It just bothers me that so many more make their way to the flea market across the creek than into the tractor area. I dunno. I still love the show and it is a great show to go to. So, don't let my nitpickin keep anyone away. A lot of great folks down here and we'd love to see ya there. Look for a guy in a floppy white hat on a Farmall A that is havin its yearly machinery show fit and you'll find old fashioned farmer heheh. God bless.

Today's Featured Article - Product Review: Black Tire Paint - by Staff. I have been fortunate in that two of my tractors have had rear tires that were in great shape when I bought the tractor. My model "H" even had the old style fronts with plenty of tread. My "L" fronts were mismatched Sears Guardsman snow tires, which I promptly tossed. Well, although these tires were in good shape as far as tread was concerned, they looked real sad. All were flat, but new tubes fixed that. In addition to years and years of scuffing and fading, they had paint splattered on ... [Read Article]
