Also don't force the halves of the tractor back together as it can brake the pump in the rear end that furnishes oil to the main hydraulic pump in the front of the tractor.I saw it done once by another dealer when I was working for a JD dealer in New York back in the early 70S

Earthmaster Project Progress Just a little update on my Earthmaster......it's back from the dead! I pulled the head, and soaked the stuck valves with mystery oil overnight, re-installed the head, and bingo, the compression returned. But alas, my carb foiled me again, it would fire a second then flood out.
