I have 2 INDENTICAL mowers. (John Deere 265/48" deck/17 HP Kawasaki) One has gator blades (at the recomendation of a good friend) The other has "stock" Deere mulching blades. While mowing side by side, in the same lawn, same grass, the gator blades leave FAR less clippings than the Deere mulching blades. They stay sharp longer, and generally perform better all the way around. They don't work miracles. If you'r clipping several inches at one pass, they'll still leave clippings. If the grass is wet, they'll leave clippings/ BUT... under normal conditions, they do MUCH better than any blades I've tried. (I mow almost 3 acres of lawn, as often as 2 times a week.) The Gator blades replaced conventional blades on the 265 there on now. There is NO COMPARISON as to how much better they do than the originals.
