I"m sorry you had a bad experience but that is not necessarily how it always is. Around here its common to send a person"s wife, or son or daugther to the parts counter. If you don"t have a parts number just send the old part and they"ll come up with it. When I go to the John Deere dealership they know my name and whom to charge the parts to. Also I"ve never taken a parts number with me, and I"ve never had a problem getting parts. Sometimes I have to look at the computer to point out the part but nothing difficult. I don"t expect the parts man to know every model of tractor, combine, and implement they"ve produced over the last 70 years. Just my opinion. David
