First and foremost, I'm VERY sorry to hear of your mothers passing. That's a tough thing to deal with under any circumstances. I lost my father 4 years ago, then mom one year later. I haven't gone one day without missing both of them. And that's a good thing in some ways.... Some folks aren't close enough to their parents to miss them when they're gone. My prayers go out to you and your entire family. I decided the day they buried my father (also a WW II vet) that the greatest tribute to him and his generation was to live as much of my life in their tradition as I could muster. Do what's right. Stand tall for what's good in life. Be a great example for your kids, and everyone you deal with every day. My wife tells me, her friends, and her family what a great husband I am on a good many occasions. I tell her, and anyone else that cares to listen, "anything you see about me that you like, thank my father". He taught me to be a good man, and to treat MY wife like he did my mother. If I live to be half the man he was, I'll be happy with myself..... Once again, I sure am sorry about your mother. If there's anything any of us can do to help, just say the word....

In this series we are going to investigate and learn the basic rudimentary skills of understanding this lingo.
