Well for a more modern replacemend if you will. I reccament a JD 900 HC or an IH 274 Diesel. The 274 is an offset tractor made by IH in the 80s. It has styling like the 86 series. There may not be many around but I've seen them for sale here and there. The JD is a model 900 HC. It too is an offset tractor and a diesel. These tractors have perhaps twice the hp and physically are the size of a Farmall A or Super A. They have modern hydrolics, attachments like listers and cultivators, planters and plows etc. I would estimate one would run you $5,000-$7,500. Truth is, a reconditioned Farmall Cub is just as good as anything else you could buy that might be 20 years newer. Cubs are simpler to work on, cost a lot less. Their attachments are far easier to come by as well. So if you have a cub, keep her. Hope this helps
