Hey Doc, I think you've fallen prey to the media's hype. If you do some digging, you'll find that much progress is being made in both Afghanistan and Iraq. I'm not saying that there aren't still some "hot spots", but the media attributes the problems to "insurgents"... should call them what they really are... terrorist criminals. I think, generally speaking, you're more likely to be injured or killed in many US cities than in Bagdad. I have friends who've returned from Iraq and all say the same thing... the majority of Iraqis are very grateful for the sacrifices made by all Americans. And, before anyone accuses me of just sitting back and giving unqualified advice, please understand I served in the armed forces for twenty years... went where I was needed & did what I had to do... & would do it all over again!!!
