The classical way of tapping the N hydraulics is with a banjo fitting on the pressure test bolt on the right hand side of the transmission. Requires chaining the 3 point down. Only works with single acting cylinders. If there's a separate reservoir, most likely there's an engine driven pump and a completely independent hudraulic system. This is a superior scheme. The pump can be out front of the radiator and driven by a shaft through the hollow front axle pivot pin from a coupling on the crankshaft pulley. There used to be kits for that. I built a similar system for my MF-135 by welding a hex hub to a plate and turned the plate to fit the front of the pulley with bolts into existing bolt holes on the crankshaft pulley. Then I made a 3/4" hex shaft to fit through the axle pin that lead to a coupling in front of the radiator (cut off some of the lower sheet metal) to a 5 gpm pump I bought from Northern and mounted on a shelf. My MF loader used one of the pedestals for the oil reservoir. That way I had full double acting hydraulics completely independent of the internal hydraulics. The MF-135 internal hydraulics are 20 years more modern than the 2N and far better, but the independent system was still better. Gerald
