Dang, how I hate those little ba$tards! Looks like some good suggestion below. I'll try them myself. I think every tractor mfr. should have one gear taller than the standard road gear. I lightly bumped a power pole guy wire while mowing once. Those little farts had a nest tucked up under the plastic guy wire guard. They came pouring out of there, and I swear, I could hear their little bee bugles blaring CHARGE! I snicked my Kubota into whistle gear and mashed the foot throttle to make my escape. The Kubota in 13 MPH tops in 8th gear--felt like I was in the low-hole cog I got blasted so many times by the time I got to the house.
