Hey Dave, Don't know if you've gotten your carb fixed yet... I had the same problem with my 400 last summer. I ended up soaking & scrubbing the carb for about a week to get all the crud out of every passage. I used the same tricks as have already been mentioned... soak the bowls & parts in "chem dip" cleaner, then use the aerosol cleaner to shoot into nooks & crannies... (CAREFULLY) used tip cleaners in some of the passages, then blew compressed air through EVERYTHING until I was sure each passage was clear. When I finally put it all back together, engine ran GREAT!!! If you haven't done already, don't forget to check (replace) plugs, wires, points, condenser, rotor & cap... cheap & easy... makes a huge difference. HTH! Regards, DL
