Don't forget to make pictures of your tractor from different sides before you start to restore. It is very satisfying to have before and after photos. I certainly would steam clean or pressure wash everything before beginning. When you get it running be sure to do a compression check on all the cylinders and get an oil pressure reading. If your major oil leak is from the rear main engine seal, this is no big deal to replace. If compression is good and uniform from cylinder to cylinder, you may not need to do an engine rebuild. While I had the tractor down for the seal replacement, I would give the clutch, clutch release bearing, and pressure plate a look see for replacement and resurfacing. What else you do will depend on whether you want to spend the long hours to render the tractor totally restored or get her running well and painted to have a good looking work tractor. Good luck.
