If you want live hydraulics, don't buy an 8N or 9N. They don't have it. Later Fords had live hydraulics on the lift. If you are planning on a front end loader, look for a tractor with power steering. Again, 8N/9N's don't have it. While the 8N/9N's are good tractors, they are light weight and don't have much horsepower. It all depends on your usage. One of my uncles who had several of tthese said they were ok for gathering eggs as long as you didn't have too many eggs. Ford NAA, 600, 800 or later models would be a better choice. Massey Ferguson made several comperable models as well as International Harvestor.
