I would think it should be okay. There's definitely no problem if you have a magneto. The thing I don't really know about is if the voltage regulator will have a problem with reversed voltage. And of course if you have a bettery ignition, remember that the battery is draining as long as the tractor is running. Don't know how long it will last, so you might want to take a spare battery.
