The weight of a WD45 ramming all that inertia into the weenie little Cat I top link as the balde catches something.And the top links bends, well of course the top link will bend. You have exceeded the limits of a Cat I hitch.
The top link is really intended for a tension load instead of a compression load anyways. So that's two modes of abuse to make the link fail.
How about purchasing the $1.99 bushings and using a Cat II or Cat III top link? Three top links this year plus how many in the previous years??????????????? There is a pattern there.
