I am trying to set up the hydraulic hoses on my IH 454. I am conecting them to the auxillary control valve. this tractor only has 1. it was set up for a single action cylinder but now I need to have 2 hoses to run a double action cylinder. I put red letters on the hoses so here goes. A i think is the return line but my book says it should be the up preure line.B has a quick disconect fitting. my book says this should be the down presure line and c is the main supplu. so my question is.. if I take out "A" and put my new hose in there what do I do with that hose. have a look at the second picture it shows where the hoses come out of the side of the transmission. on my tractor there is hoses coming out of the part my book calls "cover, side pto". in my books (I have 3 different publications all on this 1 tractor) it has nothing about hoses on the cover plate. I did find reference in the book to an auxillary pump when removing this plate if installed. so i think I must have an auxillary pump inside there.
