Special Built 1954 NAA Ford for Coal Mining

I have a NAA Ford that was special built and used in the coal mining industry in either souther IN or KY. It runs great, but I do not know how to get it in gear and the neightbor may have tore it up pulling it out of the barn to my house. I need some help getting machinical information and gear stuff.
My husband did it, but he has died.
