It was the end of long day and I decided that it would be a good idea to change the oil and check all of the fluids. I changed the oil. Checked the transmission, topped off the hydrolic resevoir and checked the power steering fluid. It was low so I topped it off with some power steering fluid that happened to be on the shelf in the barn. I got in the tractor, started it up and thought, Hmmm should that have been hydrolic fluid????. I opened up the resevoir and yep, mayonaise. It is an old ford 4000. What is the best way to purge the old fluid and replace it with fresh?
