Point gap spec is 0.015". You need to set your static timing with the distrubutor off. If it was set correctly before, and you only replaced the points, then it 'should' be OK. It's hard to explane the timing setting without refering to a picture for placment of a straight edge and the 1/4" 'Past a mounting hole' without one. A repair manual or old owners manual will have the details. If you run into a bind I could FAX it to you.
