3 pt hitch plans- Hoxey or Davis (or other)?

Anybody have any experience with either the Hoxey or the
Davis 3 pt hitch plans? I want to build hitches for 2 JD's I
have- a 1940 B with PowrTrol and a 1947 JD B with PowrLift

I do lots of metal fabrication and have access to quite a bit
of free scrap.

I'm thinking that if somebody has worked out the ideal
dimensions for a John Deere B, it would save me a lot of
experimenting!

Hoxey has a better web site, but both designs look good. I
already have a set of brackets that clamp on to the rock
shafts that I could use as a starting point.
