Brian, In Illinois we don't have to post our ground to prosecute for trespassing. I'm sure every sate differs. I'm with Nolan - if you see something you'd like to purchase, it's a better to stop and talk to someone about it before you hop-ou-th-truck and have a look see for yourself. (Lots of country people have guns, dogs or trained attack cats) I got a baler, rake and sickle bar mower from a guy extremely cheap, simply because I respected his property and his privacy. We talked about cattle and farming during my first two visits before I ever asked about the equipment. I still visit him and he's come up with all kinds of spare parts and manuals. We also exchange vegetables and such from our gardens. Nolan - where do you live - sounds like you might have some goodies I'd like to have. Promise I won't do anything unless your home.

Oil Bath Air Filters - by Chris Pratt. Some of us grew up thinking that an air filter was a paper thing that allowed air to pass while trapping dirt particles of a particles of a certain size. What a surprise to open up your first old tractor's air filter case and find a can that appears to be filled with the scrap metal swept from around a machine shop metal lathe. To top that off, you have a cup with oil in it ("why would you want to lubricate your carburetor?"). On closer examination (and some reading in a AC D-14 service manual), I found out that this is a pretty ingenious method of cleaning the air in the tractor's intake tract.
