What you say is true, but none of them are considered "compacts" by todays standards. Compacts are all the small "imported tractors" made today that are bigger than garden tractors, but not as big and heavy (or as tough) as the small utility farm tractors your talking about. A new(er) diesel tractor in good condition will start faster and run better in the cold that the gas tractors that "use to be made". I'll put any of mine up against any gasser in the cold for starting or otherwise. I can't think of even one true compact that is a gasser, so the origional question wasn't needed as there aren't any "compact" gassers made. Robert
